Which platforms does the extension support?

Right now the extension fully supports Sling and Toast, both reading and writing schedules. Support for 7shifts, Homebase, and other platforms is actively in development. You can also use ShiftWiz as a standalone scheduling platform without the extension.

Can I use ShiftWiz without the extension?

Absolutely. ShiftWiz works as a full standalone scheduling platform with built-in time clock, timesheets, and team messaging. Add your team, set up shift templates, and generate schedules directly in the app. Your employees can log in to view schedules, clock in/out, submit availability, request time off, swap shifts, and message the team — all from any device.

How does the "1-click schedule" actually work?

Once your team and shift templates are set up, you click "Generate Schedule." The engine runs multiple seed variations in parallel, using greedy assignment with simulated annealing optimization. It factors in availability, fairness, skill requirements, labor costs, and 25 other constraints. It picks the best result, scores it 0-100, and presents it to you in seconds. You review, tweak if needed, and publish.

What does the quality score mean?

Every generated schedule is scored across coverage, fairness, hour distribution, cost efficiency, preference matching, shift variety, stability, and compliance. A score of 90+ means the schedule is well-balanced across all factors. You can see the detailed breakdown to understand exactly where points were gained or lost.

Does my team need to install anything?

If you're using ShiftWiz standalone, employees just open the app in their browser. It works on any device, no app store download needed (it's a PWA). If you're using the extension with Sling or Toast, only the manager needs the Chrome extension. Employees don't install anything.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and sessions use signed JWTs with automatic expiry. Your data is never sold, and ShiftWiz never accesses your Sling or Toast credentials. The extension reads scheduling data from the page, it never touches your login.

Can I manage multiple locations?

Yes. ShiftWiz has full multi-location support. Each location gets its own shift templates, store settings, and schedules. Employees can be assigned to multiple locations.

What happens when my trial ends?
